How to report an error, and what happens then.
If we have an incident status wrong, a casualty figure wrong, or an agency wrong, tell us. Status and casualty errors are corrected as soon as we can confirm the right answer.
A correction is marked on the piece with the date and what changed. We do not quietly edit and leave it looking as though it always said the corrected thing.
If we have published a name we should not have, tell us and it comes down immediately, before we investigate how it happened.
